Job description

Responsible for delivering high-quality flying training instruction, initially on SR-22 single engine aircraft, to ab-initio pilot cadets at the Emirates Flight Training Academy. Instructional duties include on-aircraft, in-simulator, and on-ground instruction, preparation of lessons, pre-and post-flight briefings, accurate report writing, and assessment. Having demonstrated proficiency in the single engine instructional role, there is potential to move onto the DA42 twin engine fleet. Irrespective of fleet, instructors who have successfully completed 5 years in the instructional role at EFTA will have the opportunity to apply to join Emirates Airline, an opportunity unique to our FTO.

Job Outline

• Provide training and flying instruction to ab-initio cadets.
• Conduct pre- and post-flight training briefings to ensure cadets have the requisite knowledge and fully understand the processes and procedures.
• Deliver flying skills training in aircraft, simulator, and ground instruction to ensure cadets meet prescribed standards.
• Perform regular checks to ensure cadets meet course standards.
• Prioritize safety of cadets and report incidents to relevant personnel for any violations or safety concerns.
• Monitor cadet proficiency and progress regularly, generating accurate performance reports.
• Research, develop, and recommend new training methods to enhance learning and performance standards.
• Deliver other flying-related training initiatives as directed by the CFI.

Qualifications & Experience

• Ab-initio flying instructional experience in a large ATO.
• Minimum 700 hours total time, with 350 hours instructional and 200 hours IFR time.
• Minimum GCAA or ICAO CPL or ATPL with Single Engine Class Rating.
• Minimum Flight Instructor Rating with Night and Instrument privileges.
• Class 1 Medical Certificate without restrictions.
• ICAO English Language Proficiency level 5 or higher.
• Exceptional instructional techniques with a broad understanding of teaching methodologies.
