About the Role
We are recruiting a Senior Financial Planner on behalf of a DFSA-regulated firm in the DIFC. This role is ideal for an experienced professional passionate about wealth management, financial planning, and corporate advisory services. The position offers a competitive base salary with uncapped commission, providing significant earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning for Individuals: Create tailored financial strategies that align with clients’ life goals, risk appetite, and investment timelines.
- Corporate Gratuity Advisory: Collaborate with corporate clients to develop and manage effective, compliant gratuity schemes.
- Compliance & Regulation: Operate fully within DFSA regulations. Keep up to date with industry and regulatory developments.
- Client Engagement: Build long-term relationships with clients. Regularly review and adapt financial plans as client needs evolve.
- Market Monitoring: Stay informed on market trends and developments. Deliver timely and insightful recommendations to clients.
- Business Development: Drive revenue through new client acquisition and retention of existing clients, aligned with activity targets.
- Ongoing Learning: Complete a minimum of 30 CPD hours annually to remain informed and certified.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline
- Professional certifications such as CFP (or equivalent) are a plus
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in wealth management or financial planning
- Experience in a regulated jurisdiction, preferably DIFC and under DFSA
- Strong knowledge of investment strategies and gratuity planning
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Self-driven, ethical, and committed to personal growth
Additional Experience in Insurance
Experience: 4–8 years in general/commercial insurance brokerage
Exposure: Corporate clients, underwriting processes, risk profiling
Products: Property, Liability, Marine, D&O, Cyber
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field
- Professional certifications preferred (UAE Insurance Authority license, ACII, CPCU)
