About The Ports Cluster

The Ports Cluster, part of AD Ports Group, owns and operates 10 ports & terminals facilitating trade and building capacity whilst connecting Abu Dhabi globally. The cluster is focused on achieving sustainable growth, forging partnerships with local and global market leaders with the goal of diversifying and expanding capacity to meet the growing and diverse needs of customers while solidifying Abu Dhabi as a global trade and logistics hub.

Job Purpose

To evaluate new business opportunities and commercial value to cruise activities, provide senior management and executives with the analysis and information (including but not limited to dashboards) they need to make major operational, financial, and strategic decisions and drive business performance throughout the organization through development of forecasting and analytic capabilities within the Cruise Company

Key Responsibilities

  • Work and support to develop, maintain and drive the Cruise Company strategy.
  • In Coordination with other divisions, develop and monitor short to medium term business growth initiatives.
  • Identify and manage key performance enhancements projects in Cruise Company.
  • Provides guidance/support to Finance partners regarding overall Cruise Company business performance.
  • Deliver quality reporting and business performance reviews by overseeing the maintenance and further development of robust monthly reporting packages that provide timely and reliable financial and operational information for internal decision-making processes, including analytics that accompany the financial reports.
  • Support Cruise Company leadership team and Board of Directors with overall understanding of performance including business drivers and Key Performance Indicators for the Unit.
  • Participation in the Board of Directors meetings is expected where the lead is to be taken on presenting Cruise Company financials
  • Support Cruise Company Executive Team with the execution of presentations
  • Deliver volume and sales reporting and analysis.
  • Prepare forecasts working collaboratively with business leaders for review with Senior Management.
  • Supports key analytics for business development in new Cruise projects.
  • Lead implementation of Finance function in new/international locations as and when they arise.
  • Interface directly with the Executive Team to provide financial planning and analysis service and support.
  • Act as financial lead for annual budget process/cycle.
  • Lead cost optimization and new revenue initiatives for the Cruise, Port Marine Facilities and Community Ports.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional certification such as CPA/CMA/ACCA/CA.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and time management skills.
  • Advanced experience with financial modelling, including the ability to develop scenarios and sensitivity analysis using tools such as VBA, Macros etc.
  • Experience in creating transparency of information through analytics, and data visualization methodologies and tools.
  • Display an agile mindset to accommodate a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional Commercial, Finance and Operations teams.
  • Excellent command of English languages. Arabic is a plus.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience is required.
