Job description

AECOM is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer for a major Roads and Infrastructure and bridges projects located in Dubai.

Job Duties:

  • Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for small to mediumsized projects
  • Analyze project financial data and identify potential impacts on project outcomes
  • Assist in establishing project baseline data using drawings and specifications
  • Conduct cost and schedule variance analyses to ensure project efficiency
  • Collect and analyze progress data reviewing performance trends to support decisionmaking
  • Apply earned value scope control and change management methodologies
  • Analyze manpower labor hours and labor costs against budget limitations
  • Track purchase order and subcontract commitments and expenditures
  • Support the project reporting process and participate in project cost review meetings
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure alignment of project goals and timelines
  • Assist in trend analysis and forecasting to optimize project performance
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of planning processes and tools

Qualifications :

A minimum of 10 years experience in the Planning / Project Controls field is required. Applicants would ideally have worked on major programs in transport.

In addition applicants should be able to demonstrate the following;

  • Advanced knowledge of ORACLE Primavera P6 Project Management Software.
  • Ability to develop monitor and control schedules.
  • Hands on working knowledge of WBS coding structure cost /schedule variance analysis
  • Earned Value Management (EVMS) project trend contract change and claims.
  • Working knowledge of Time Impact Analysis techniques.

Qualification

  • A Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
