You must be a qualified and experienced clinical psychologist or counseling psychologist with experience working with people with eating disorders to join our growing team in Dubai. You should have an inspiring vision for transforming mental health in the region and beyond, anchored in exemplary client service, professional development, and community involvement.
Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas is a plus:
- Working with children and young people with eating disorders
- Working with adults with eating disorders
- Ability to provide client service in Arabic is a plus (not required)
- Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations
- Experience with clinical supervision
Education & Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology
- Minimum of 3 years of experience for Doctorate holders and 5 years for Master’s degree holders, including at least 1 year working with individuals with eating disorders
- Dubai Health Authority (DHA) or Community Development Authority (CDA) licensable
Description
- Ensure all activities and interventions are properly recorded, in line with policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Assess, plan, and review all stages of the treatment process using designated tools within agreed timelines.
- Provide individual therapy using evidence-based CBT-e interventions and psychosocial approaches.
- Deliver structured group programs and monthly support groups for service users and carers.
- Support service users throughout treatment, setting and reviewing targets.
- Coordinate with relevant agencies to meet service users' needs and facilitate change.
- Handle safeguarding issues, including child protection and vulnerable adults, per policies and legal requirements.
- Participate in regular supervision sessions.
- Prepare reports and action plans as needed.
- Maintain a professional image and promote the service to stakeholders and the public.
- Engage in continuous professional development within the client's framework.
- Uphold data protection laws and confidentiality policies.
