Job summary

Aertssen Machinery Services ltd is seeking an Earthmoving Mechanic in the United Arab Emirates to perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of earthmoving equipment like excavators and dump trucks. You will ensure machines are safe, reliable and compliant with company standards.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing faults, servicing, and completing accurate records. The role requires reading manuals, following instructions, and working with a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical certification in mechanical or automotive technology.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, powertrain components, and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and repair instructions.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Good physical condition and manual dexterity.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on earthmoving equipment (excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers, telehandlers, dump trucks).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults involving engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, pumps, hoses, filters, belts, bearings and other components.
• Carry out routine servicing: lubrication, oil changes, inspections, system checks.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical systems.
• Operate and maintain heavy industrial equipment safely and effectively.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify faults and verify repairs.
• Complete work orders, maintenance reports and service records accurately.
• Maintain and manage tools and equipment in good condition.
• Ensure work is completed within timelines while maintaining quality.
• Support breakdown maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Participate in training and development programs as assigned by Supervisor.
• Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, supervisors and clients.
• Work flexible schedules including shifts, weekends and public holidays.
