About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you'll spearhead the development and execution of innovative communication strategies to enhance the organization's reputation across global markets. From crafting compelling content to managing crisis communications, you'll play a pivotal role in aligning messaging with organizational goals while leading a talented team of communication professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Communication Leadership: Design and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with organizational objectives, targeting key audiences across diverse global markets.
  • Content Creation: Oversee the production of high-quality content, including press releases, thought leadership pieces, blog posts, speeches, and social media content, ensuring consistency and impact.
  • Brand Consistency: Collaborate with marketing teams to uphold brand integrity across all channels, enforcing guidelines to maintain a unified brand image.
  • Media & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, government officials, and industry associations to amplify visibility and credibility.
  • Crisis Management: Develop and lead robust crisis communication plans, acting as the primary spokesperson to manage reputational risks and ensure timely, transparent responses to stakeholders during emergencies.
  • Media Strategy: Proactively pitch stories, coordinate press releases, manage media inquiries, and orchestrate high-profile events to enhance the organization's global presence.
  • Internal Communications: Drive programs to keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with the organization's vision and values.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of communication professionals, setting clear goals and fostering professional growth.
  • Performance Tracking: Analyze communication efforts through metrics like media coverage, audience reach, and sentiment analysis, using data to optimize strategies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Language Proficiency: Full English proficiency is required; German proficiency is highly desirable, with additional languages a plus.
  • Cultural Expertise: Strong understanding of Dubai's media landscape, cultural nuances, and business environment.
  • Strategic Acumen: Proven ability to develop and execute global communication strategies, with experience in successful campaigns a plus.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated skills in leading and mentoring teams in dynamic, high-pressure settings.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with communication tools and platforms.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.

Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in corporate communications, public relations, or similar roles, with a track record of managing high-stakes communications and crises.
