Job description

The Planning Engineer will effectively supervise and develop functions within Operational Planning, Asset LifeCycle Management, Scheduling, and Reliability & Data Integrity & Standards Group (DISG) for all aircraft types, engines, and components. Responsibilities include preparing, planning, conducting technical reviews, analysis, verification, regulatory compliance, and performance reporting of key airworthiness tasks and reliability data to ensure the Emirates fleet maintains the required standards of quality and airworthiness as defined by regulatory authorities and the Engineering Procedures Manual.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in change programs by engaging in projects designed to foster a positive and proactive change culture.
  • Manage the daily work program, evaluate work quality, review systems and procedures for efficiency, workload balance, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the section in meetings, escalate issues affecting project timelines and modifications.
  • Supervise and organize team resources, ensuring proper training, motivation, and development to meet fleet growth, system enhancements, and performance standards. Oversee process and procedural improvements, especially with new technologies.
  • Manage specific lifecycle areas, review documentation such as Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Modifications, Damage/Repair histories, Component histories, LLP, back-to-birth documentation, maintenance histories, certifications, and statements for End-Of-Lease activities.
  • Supervise the control and response to discrepancies related to LLPs and support investigations into compliance issues.
  • Lead process and procedure improvements for new technology implementations.
  • Participate in the Outsourced Maintenance Project Team, handling tasks such as package amendments, workcard queries, documentation quality checks, and liaising with MROs for material requisitions, documentation uploads, and package closures in Ultramain.
