Job description

We are seeking highly skilled Transmission Planning Engineers to support the Power Network Strategy & Planning Division (PNSPD) in conducting power system studies, preparing business cases, and collaborating with various stakeholders. The selected candidates will work from the Client's Abu Dhabi office for a period of 4 to 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct transmission system impact analysis for new loads and generation plants (renewable and conventional).
2. Perform steady-state short circuit, dynamic, and transient stability analysis of the electrical power system.
3. Prepare technical reports to document the outcomes of network analysis.
4. Develop business cases and technical presentations based on study results.
5. Develop or modify automation scripts (Python) to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of power system simulations.
6. Perform long-term transmission planning, including substation expansion plans and transmission system master plans.
7. Conduct technical and economic evaluations for transmission system expansion alternatives.
8. Coordinate with different entities and support the company's strategy team.
9. Ensure compliance with project deadlines and maintain high quality standards in project delivery.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field from a recognized university.
2. Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in transmission network planning and analysis.
3. Previous experience as a Power Network Planning Engineer for projects of similar scope and complexity.
