As Director of Sales & Marketing, we rely on you to:
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine a forward-looking sales and marketing strategy aligned with Shangri-La’s brand positioning and business goals.
- Drive sustainable and profitable revenue growth across all business segments, including rooms, catering, residences, serviced apartments, retail leasing, and ancillary services.
- Lead integrated commercial initiatives across all channels, ensuring a dynamic balance between direct, indirect, digital, and traditional sales strategies.
- Monitor and interpret local, regional, and global market trends, political and economic developments, and competitor activity to proactively adjust strategy and seize new opportunities.
- Build, inspire, and mentor a high-performing, agile commercial team, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Leverage CRM platforms, digital marketing tools, and AI-driven insights to optimize customer acquisition, retention, and personalization strategies.
- Play an active role in supporting the hotel’s phased renovation and repositioning project, ensuring commercial activities align with the evolving product and brand narrative.
- Champion the hotel’s marketing communications, public relations, brand integrity, and online presence, ensuring consistent, compelling storytelling across all guest touchpoints.
- Foster strong relationships with key corporate clients, travel trade partners, diplomatic missions, and high-net-worth individuals, enhancing Shangri-La Dubai’s market influence.
- Collaborate closely with the Regional Commercial Leadership Team, the General Manager, and Executive Committee colleagues to drive enterprise-wide business success.
- Demonstrate compassionate leadership, emotional intelligence, and cultural sensitivity, creating an inclusive and empowering environment for team members from diverse backgrounds.
- Ensure revenue targets, guest engagement scores, and brand standards are met or exceeded consistently, while maintaining Shangri-La's reputation for legendary hospitality.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Has a proven track record of driving commercial success, revenue growth, and brand repositioning in a leading international 5-star luxury hotel, preferably with experience in UAE and GCC markets.
- Brings strong expertise in digital marketing, CRM, loyalty programs, and the innovative use of AI tools for business intelligence, personalization, and revenue optimization.
- Has hands-on experience supporting hotel renovations and repositioning projects, with a deep understanding of how commercial strategy must evolve during asset transformation phases.
- Demonstrates outstanding leadership skills, balancing strategic vision with day-to-day agility, and motivating diverse teams toward shared goals.
- Leads with compassion, emotional and cultural intelligence, and by setting high standards for integrity, respect, and professionalism.
