Job Summary:

AVIONHAZE CARGO LLC-DANGEROUS GOODS FREIGHT FORWARDING is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Assistant to support our Dangerous Goods Freight Forwarding operations. The ideal candidate will assist the sales team in managing customer inquiries, preparing quotations, coordinating shipments, and ensuring compliance with international regulations for hazardous cargo. This position requires high attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a basic understanding of logistics and dangerous goods handling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the sales team with quotations, client follow-ups, and documentation specific to dangerous goods.
  • Prepare proposals and coordinate pricing based on shipment details and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with operations and compliance departments to ensure shipments meet IATA, IMDG, and ADR standards.
  • Maintain customer records, pricing agreements, and shipment histories using CRM systems.
  • Communicate with clients to confirm shipment details, provide updates, and address concerns.
  • Track and report on shipment status, ensuring timely delivery and documentation.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor rates to support sales strategy.
  • Coordinate with carriers and agents to confirm capacity and service availability for hazardous cargo.
  • Assist in lead generation, marketing support, and customer relationship management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Prior experience in freight forwarding or logistics, preferably with dangerous goods, is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of IATA/ICAO and IMDG regulations for hazardous materials (training or certification preferred).
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM and freight forwarding systems (e.g., CargoWise, SAP, or similar platforms).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team under tight deadlines.
