Summary
The Senior Marketing Manager at Deliveroo is responsible for overseeing marketing strategies and initiatives related to managing restaurant partnerships and promotions. The role involves developing and executing marketing plans for joint business partners, managing the restaurant promotion calendar, and coordinating cross-functional promotions.
Restaurant Marketing
- Develop joint marketing plans with key, exclusive restaurant partners to enhance customer engagement.
- Implement best practices with commercial teams (restaurant account management) to ensure smooth campaign launches and task completion.
- Lead development of marketing templates and best practices based on previous campaign data to support restaurant promotions.
- Manage the restaurant promotion calendar in collaboration with the Director of Growth and Director of Restaurants.
Promotions
- Manage and advise on cross-functional growth promotions aimed at customer acquisition, retention, and increasing order frequency (5GB / ULT).
- Drive the strategy for new customer acquisition promotions to increase platform growth.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Growth, Director of Grocery and Retail, and other stakeholders to execute campaigns effectively.
- Partner with the Senior Marketing team for Grocery and Retail to develop customer promotions that support vertical adoption and retention.
Data Science
- Leverage data insights to inform marketing strategies and decision-making.
- Forecast costs and uplift percentages for upcoming campaigns based on historical data.
- Collaborate with the F&S team to identify trends, customer behaviors, and market opportunities.
- Implement data-driven initiatives to optimize ROI and drive growth in orders, new customer acquisition, and retention.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor a Senior Marketing Associate.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment focused on marketing excellence.
- Coordinate with CRM, digital media, and brand teams to develop effective media plans and creative content.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with teams across product, operations, and finance to align marketing campaigns (5GB / ULT).
Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Experience in team management.
- 5-7 years of marketing experience.
- Experience working within complex organizational structures.
- Operational campaign management experience.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Strong project management and coordination skills.
- Team player mindset.
