Job Title: BD & Sales Lead

Direct Manager: Conferences & Exhibitions Section Head

Role Purpose:

Lead meetings with potential clients and increase awareness of Abu Dhabi as a major conferences and exhibitions destination. Position Abu Dhabi as the premier destination for target market conferences by leveraging its unique and authentic tourism offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Annual Planning: Contribute to the development of the department's annual business plan to align Business Development and Sales activities with departmental needs.
  2. Business Development & Sales Operations: Lead efforts to attract conferences and exhibitions by submitting bids and proposals, managing the end-to-end bidding process, and developing creative, timely proposals tailored to client needs.
  3. Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal units, government stakeholders, international offices, and partners to assess feasibility, develop business, and foster relationships.
  4. Market and Data Analysis: Utilize data and CRM tools to analyze market segments, monitor performance metrics, and influence decision-makers.
  5. Event Support and Promotion: Organize site inspections, support feasibility studies, and coordinate with marketing to promote events and increase awareness.
  6. Operational Excellence: Ensure compliance with policies, streamline processes, and seek continuous improvement to enhance service quality and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in Marketing, Brand Management, Sales, or similar roles within the industry.
Skills:
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • MS Office skills; experience in website content development.
  • Knowledge of market trends, analytics, and testing.
  • Innovative marketing strategies, time management, attention to detail.
  • Experience with business planning, program management, and finance policies.
