1. JOB SUMMARY
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards. The role involves overseeing project schedules, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communication to ensure smooth project execution.
2. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets with the project engineer and site staff.
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of construction projects, ensuring timely delivery.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to align project goals.
- Lead and manage site engineers, site staff, procurement team, and subcontractors.
- Ensure the efficient allocation of manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Share and monitor target schedules and milestone dates in coordination with all relevant subcontractors and the construction team.
- Ensure the preparation and approval of the project budget, ensuring it matches the project scope.
- Provide continuous monitoring of project operations.
- Monitor all activities related to mobilization and demobilization of resources.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and resolve site challenges.
- Ensure compliance with UAE construction regulations and safety standards.
- Work closely with HSE and QA/QC teams to maintain high-quality standards.
- Address and resolve any technical or contractual issues onsite.
- Monitor project expenses and ensure alignment with the budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Approve procurement requests and validate supplier invoices.
- Prepare progress reports, risk assessments, and project updates for management.
- Conduct weekly meetings with management to review progress and address concerns.
- Oversee the finalization of the project, including handover with the client and consultant, and prepare the final statement of account.
3. QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Minimum of X years of experience in construction project management.
- Strong knowledge of UAE construction laws and project execution.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6.
