Job description

Synopsis

This role reports to the Senior Delivery Manager/Senior Portfolio Manager. The Portfolio Manager will oversee a large portfolio of initiatives within the Value Stream. They will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects within their portfolio, from planning and initiation to delivery and closure, working in partnership with product teams to deliver significant business value. Key performance indicators include time, budget, and quality. Projects may utilize both waterfall and agile methodologies.

This role will lead and manage project teams and serve as the interface between the product and the project to ensure business objectives are met. The Delivery Lead will oversee a team of project managers and Scrum Masters, managing some of Etihad's largest and most complex initiatives. They will provide guidance on best practices, processes, and project management techniques.

Accountabilities

• Perform team-facing roles within projects, releases, and programmes, using Agile project management methodologies.
• Build and lead high-performing, self-organising cross-functional teams to deliver all components of the allocated work within prescribed time, cost, and quality metrics.
• Create and foster a team culture that values collaboration, innovation, agile delivery, cross-skilling, sponsor engagement, continuous improvement, and team success.
• Facilitate collaborative activities and team meetings such as discovery workshops, estimations, feature elaboration, release and iteration planning, daily stand-ups, Scrum-of-Scrums, retrospectives, and showcases.
• Experience with Amadeus Alta Suite, especially in the self-service space, is an added advantage.
• Responsible for the benefits realization of all projects managed.

Education & Experience

• 7+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional projects, programs, and portfolios. Airline industry experience is beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent is mandatory.
• Certification in Agile Project Management or equivalent is mandatory.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Project and other project management tools.
• Extensive experience managing large-scale technology projects using both Agile and waterfall methodologies, with the ability to blend them appropriately.
• Ability to evaluate and address complex project risks and issues objectively.
