The Role

As the General Manager, GCC, you will lead Taptap Send’s expansion in key markets across the GCC, overseeing strategy, regulatory engagement, partnerships, and operations — owning the launch and growth of new markets with P&L responsibility. You will build relationships with regulators, financial institutions, partners, and internal teams to establish Taptap Send as the region’s leading remittance provider, reporting to the Head of Middle East & North Africa and driving strategic initiatives across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop & Execute Market Expansion Strategy: Define vision and plans for launching and scaling in the GCC.
2. Regulatory Engagement: Build strong relationships with regulators and ensure compliance with local laws.
3. Foster Strategic Partnerships: Negotiate with banks, payment processors, and key players for market entry and growth.
4. Operational Execution: Oversee financial infrastructure setup, collaborating with internal teams.
5. Monitor & Optimize Performance: Track metrics to ensure efficiency and continuous improvement.
6. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with product, compliance, finance, legal, and marketing teams.
7. External Representation: Act as the GCC regional spokesperson in regulatory, industry, and partner engagements.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 7–15 years in high-growth fintech or technology, with leadership in expansion, partnerships, and regulation.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to build strong relationships with regulators and financial partners.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to execute strategically and hands-on.
• Analytical Skills: Data-driven decision-making; proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; SQL, Python, or R a plus.
• Regional Knowledge: Deep understanding of GCC regulatory landscape, financial ecosystem, and remittance markets.
• Fluent in English & Arabic (essential).
• Willingness to travel periodically across GCC markets.
