Senior Design Coordinator - 100% (m/f)
The ideal candidate is a highly experienced Senior Design Coordinator with a proven ability to lead the integration, coordination, and quality assurance of multidisciplinary design deliverables across complex infrastructure and construction projects. They possess a deep understanding of project lifecycle requirements, technical standards, and excel in stakeholder collaboration within a dynamic consultancy environment.
Responsibilities:
• Lead coordination efforts across all engineering disciplines (civil, structural, MEP, geotechnical, etc.) to ensure seamless integration and consistency in project designs.
• Act as the central point of contact for all design-related matters between internal design teams, project managers, external consultants, and clients.
• Manage project design timelines, submittals, and review cycles to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of design packages.
• Oversee the implementation and enforcement of design control procedures, documentation standards, and change management protocols.
• Review technical submissions, ensure alignment with project specifications, applicable codes, and international standards.
• Proactively identify design risks, conflicts, and coordination issues, and implement mitigation plans in consultation with discipline leads.
• Support BIM implementation strategies and ensure model coordination using platforms such as Revit and Navisworks.
• Participate in design workshops, technical meetings, and interface coordination sessions during all project stages.
• Maintain accurate records of design decisions, revision logs, and coordination outputs.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, Architecture, or an equivalent engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in multidisciplinary design coordination for major infrastructure, transportation, or building projects, preferably within consultancy or EPC environments.
• Strong working knowledge of regional authority guidelines (e.g., ADM, RTA, DM, SEC, etc.) and international design standards (e.g., AASHTO, BS, Eurocodes).
• Advanced proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and document control systems (e.g., Aconex, BIM 360).
• Solid understanding of project management tools (MS Project, Primavera) and digital design collaboration platforms.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple interfaces and stakeholders.
• Proven experience in managing design deliverables for large-scale infrastructure or multidisciplinary design projects in the Middle East.
