Are you an environmentally conscious marketing professional looking to make your mark in the energy sector? Would you like to join a purpose-driven commercial business that is on a mission to promote clean energy?

Our client is an independent conference organizer, specialized in the power sector. They are well known and highly respected in the European power market, operating with a customer-first ethos.

We are currently searching for a dynamic, results-oriented Event Marketing Manager to promote our client's two annual conferences.

This individual should have a proven track record in driving delegate attendance through multi-channel marketing activities in the tech sector. The role requires a strong flair for event promotion, exceptional relationship-building skills, and outstanding stakeholder management. Operating with transparency, integrity, and trust-building is essential for success.

The role involves:
  • Briefing: Taking a brief from the conference programme director, researching the market, understanding the buyer persona, and analyzing the event's competitive landscape.
  • Campaign planning: Determining the optimal mix of marketing channels and frequency, planning these activities to maximize delegate ROI.
  • Database building: Developing an internal database targeting 10,000 new records across Middle East, Asia, and Africa power markets.
  • Advertising procurement: Identifying channels, negotiating packages, and overseeing collateral creation for timely delivery and engagement.
  • Media partnerships: Researching and onboarding high-quality media partners to enhance brand awareness and sales.
  • Campaign analysis: Weekly monitoring of campaign performance and adjusting strategies to maximize ROI.
  • Platform management: Managing Mailchimp EMS, Wix website, Google Analytics, LinkedIn platforms, and YouTube channels.
  • Budget management: Ensuring at least 500% ROI on marketing spend.
  • Reporting: Providing weekly updates on activities, performance, and strategic pivots.
The ideal candidate:
  • Holds a degree or higher in Environmental Sciences, Marketing, Business, Economics, Humanities, or Arts.
  • Has 5-7+ years of experience in event marketing within a conference organization.
  • Has an interest in the clean energy sector and B2B buyer psychology.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Demonstrates meticulous organization and prioritization skills.
  • Works well in a team, with strong stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Is commercially driven, deadline-oriented, and goal-focused.
  • Has experience with various marketing platforms and tools.
  • As this is a contractual role, candidates must be self-sponsored.

Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential extension).
