Food Technologist

Dubai Based

Salary is 12-20k depending on experience

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Food Technologist to join the innovative team.In this role, you will assist in the development and improvement of food products, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and nutritional standards. You will work closely with senior food technologists to bring exciting new products to market.

3+ years of relevant work experience focussing on applications for the Bakery category, in a food application lab, R&D or a production facility,

Experience in the confectionery industry is essential as like in bakery. Experience has to be not less than 3 years. Reliable with good attitude to the job. Understanding the specifics and features of food production.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the formulation and testing of new food products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Conduct sensory evaluations and analyze consumer feedback to guide product development
  • Support the implementation of quality control measures throughout the production process
  • Document and report findings from laboratory tests and product trials
  • Collaborate with marketing and production teams to align product specifications and packaging
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of food safety regulations and quality assurance principles
  • Familiarity with laboratory techniques and equipment used in food analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

  • Internship or practical experience in food technology or product development
  • Knowledge of sensory evaluation methods and statistical analysis
  • Familiarity with ingredient functionality and formulation principles

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

  • Experience with food product testing methodologies and quality control processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting
