Job description

We are seeking a skilled and culturally fluent Senior Content Editor to join our team. This key role supports the development of compelling, accessible, and inclusive content across marketing, exhibitions, and publications, ensuring alignment with the museum’s mission, voice, and audience needs.

The ideal candidate will have 8–10+ years of experience working in museums, cultural institutions, or similar environments, and be fluent in Arabic and English.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing & Digital Content

  • Create engaging copy for web, social media, email campaigns, and promotional materials that reflect the museum’s voice and connect with diverse audiences.

Exhibition & Interpretive Content

  • Develop clear, accessible, and educational exhibition texts, including labels, wall panels, and multimedia content, in collaboration with curators and designers.

Editorial & Publications

  • Contribute to catalogues, brochures, and printed materials, ensuring editorial consistency and quality.
  • Edit and proofread content to meet internal standards and deadlines.

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing, Website, Curatorial, Education, and Design teams to create unified and impactful messaging across platforms.

Brand Voice & Standards

  • Uphold the museum’s tone, style, and accessibility standards across all written content.
  • Ensure all outputs are consistent with the brand voice and interpretive framework.

Requirements:

  • 8–10+ years of relevant experience in a museum, cultural, or arts environment.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English, with excellent writing, editing, and translation skills.
  • Proven ability to write for diverse audiences across digital, print, and exhibition formats.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of brand tone, interpretive writing, and audience-centered content creation.
