Job Description

Jw Turner Contracting LLC, an affiliate of Paris Group, is an in-house provider of high-quality fit-out and maintenance services, specializing in retail and hospitality projects. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional results by ensuring that every detail of the project is meticulously planned and executed. We are currently looking for a Fit-out Estimator/Procurement with a strong background in the fit-out industry to join our creative and dynamic team.

Role Overview:


The Fit-out Estimator/Procurement will be responsible for calculating and providing accurate material costs for fit-out projects. This includes sourcing and evaluating materials, coordinating with suppliers, and providing detailed cost estimates to support project planning, budgeting, and execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the fit-out industry, with a keen eye for cost efficiency and quality materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for materials required for contracting and fit-out projects.
  • Work closely with project managers and design teams to understand project requirements and material specifications.
  • Costing & Budgeting:
  • Develop cost breakdowns for materials, and any other associated costs.
  • Analyze and compare costs to ensure budget adherence and identify areas for cost savings.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing.
  • Ensure that materials are ordered and delivered according to project timelines.
  • Material Takeoffs:
  • Conduct material takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and other project documents to determine required quantities.
  • Project Support & Reporting:
  • Assist project managers in ensuring material availability and project progression.
  • Provide regular updates and detailed reports on material costs and project budget status.
  • Recommend improvements in processes related to estimating, procurement, and material management.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (preferred).
  • Certification in Estimating or Cost Management (e.g., RICS, AACE) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of UAE experience in estimating materials and procurement for contracting and fit-out projects.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and techniques, particularly in fit-out and interior construction.
  • Strong understanding of material costing, procurement, and supply chain management.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills for supplier coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and estimating software
