Job description

Job Purpose

Provide maintenance oversight on electrical systems and components to ensure plant safety and reliability. Oversee electrical maintenance work teams performing electrical and related work to deliver high quality, ensuring safe and reliable operations. Implement Conduct of Maintenance on assigned electrical systems and components to maintain plant safety and reliability. Supervise the electrical maintenance teams.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  1. Oversee electrical maintenance to ensure tasks are performed timely and with quality to achieve operational readiness, safety, and reliability.
  2. Review and oversee the implementation of electrical maintenance programs and procedures.
  3. Monitor the performance of:
  • The Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) electrical equipment, including motors, motor generator sets, Reactor Coolant Pump (RCP) motors, MOVs, crane, and lighting.
  • The Balance Of Plant (BOP) electrical equipment, including transformers, GIB, switchgear, relays, motors, main generator, UPS, and MOVs.
  • Monitor short-term outages and prepare outage activity lists to optimize plant downtime.
  • Approve procurement requests for spare parts and tools to support electrical maintenance.
  • Develop documentation related to installation and service contracts.
  • Conduct periodic tests to verify electrical system performance and identify deficiencies.
  • Provide technical support across plant groups to disseminate technical knowledge.
  • Update equipment and material master data in the management system for accuracy.
  • Ensure Nawah and supplemental workers comply with Conduct of Maintenance practices.
  • Lead troubleshooting on electrical systems to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Monitor compliance with foreign material exclusion (FME) procedures for safety and reliability.

    Professional Certifications & Qualifications

    Diploma or equivalent required.

    Experience

    • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, including:
    • At least 2 years in Power Plant operations.
    • At least 1 year in Nuclear Power Plant operations.

    Preferred: 10 years of maintenance and engineering experience with APR-1400 or OPR-1000 reactors.
