Job Purpose
The candidate must lead, review, assess, and manage the scope of works of the allocated FEED/EPC package under the direction of their delegated Senior Project Engineers and Project Manager. The candidate must also review, participate, guide, and manage the FEED/EPC contractor in developing the scope of works as defined in the various Work Entity Releases (WERs) relevant to the FEED phase.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervise civil and structural engineering execution in detailed design, including calculations for heavy equipment foundations, buildings, and steel structures.
- Analyze and design modular steel structures for EPC/FEED, including sea transportation, lifting, skidding, load out, and stress analysis.
- Design structural steel and precast pipe racks for EPC/FEED projects.
- Design structural steel technological structures and process plant structures for EPC/FEED.
- Design blast-resistant buildings for EPC/FEED phases.
- Design foundations for compressors, pumps, and similar machinery for EPC/FEED.
- Design foundations for equipment such as exchangers, coolers, process columns, steel stacks, and pipe supports.
- Design specialized structures like chimneys, cooling towers, pre-stressed bridges, and arch bridges for EPC/FEED.
- Be familiar with international design codes such as American, British, and the International Building Code (IBC).
- Plan and conduct independent evaluations, selecting and applying engineering techniques and procedures.
- Review drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and practices.
- Coordinate design efforts to support material requisitions and ensure documentation adherence to technical specifications.
- Analyze disputed items from technical and contractual perspectives and prepare official responses.
- Process change order requests, prepare justification worksheets, issue change orders, and lead scope alignment with contractors.
Requirements
Educational & Technical Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 10-15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas petrochemical industry
- Knowledge of Aramco standards, procedures, and international standards
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
