The Commercial Operations Manager will oversee both kitchen operations and commercial strategy, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the business. This role will focus on managing kitchen staff, ensuring food prep is quick and high quality, and developing commercial models that balance cost efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate will have experience in operations, vendor management, and commercial strategy, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations and food sourcing.

  • Oversee the day-to-day kitchen operations to ensure all meals are prepared efficiently and within the 5-minute prep time target.
  • Ensure all kitchen operators follow standardized recipes and procedures to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with food manufacturers and suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of ingredients.
  • Work with vendors to develop streamlined processes for food sourcing, ensuring that ingredients are easily prepped and high-quality.
  • Explore opportunities for sourcing pre-prepped or partially prepared ingredients that align with the brand’s speed and quality objectives.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to finalize commercial models, including cost structures, pricing strategy, and the decision between dedicated vs. non-dedicated spaces.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that balance cost efficiency, competitiveness, and customer value.
  • Work with the financial team to analyze and improve profitability by adjusting cost structures and operational efficiencies.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably within food service, e-commerce, or a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation workflows.
  • Experience in vendor management and sourcing within the food industry.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement commercial models and pricing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on financial analysis, cost management, and efficiency.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-volume environments with the ability to adapt to changing demands.
