Job description

As a result of Vectors' exceptional recent growth in the regional concrete repair, materials, and protection sector, we are looking to hire Cathodic Protection Engineers and Technicians who are eager to accelerate their career growth by taking on more responsibility in an expanding and rewarding field. Positions will be based in Dubai, UAE, supporting our mission to extend the service life of existing and new structures. Using the most modern tools and techniques, our engineers and technicians perform on-site evaluations and develop solutions based on a thorough understanding of deterioration causes and extents. Our experience enables us to implement practical, cost-effective repair and rehabilitation solutions, even in the most severe environments.

Note: We do not work with staffing agencies to fulfill our roles.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct condition assessments and investigations.
2. Support the design of cathodic protection systems, including calculations and drawings.
3. Perform cathodic protection quality control testing.
4. Install and troubleshoot instrumentation, prepare test reports, conduct research activities, and support other engineers and project managers as required.
5. Implement non-destructive testing techniques such as ground penetrating radar, impact echo, corrosion potential testing, and others.
6. Collect field data and measurements, and accurately document findings.
7. Develop professional reports on work performed and conclusions, ensuring they meet Vectors' quality standards and client expectations.

Requirements

• Willingness to travel extensively (60%-80%) within the UAE and Middle East; candidates should hold a passport that allows regional travel flexibility.
• Mandatory certifications in cathodic protection at levels NACE CP 2, 3, and 4 (or equivalent ICORR), with specific experience in CP for reinforced concrete structures.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Materials, or Chemical Engineering.
• Ability to review and interpret drawings in English.
• Proficiency in writing technical reports in English.

• Structural analysis of existing structures.
• Condition assessment of reinforced concrete structures.
• Concrete repair, materials, coatings technologies, and techniques.
• AutoCAD proficiency.
• Non-destructive testing of various structures.
• Material testing and reporting.
