Job Purpose:

The job holder will assist the marketing team in day-to-day activities related to advertising, promotions, public/media relations, product coordination, distribution support, sponsorship logistics, and basic research, contributing to the achievement of departmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Department Head and team in executing marketing campaigns for events, in alignment with the department’s goals.
  • Coordinate with the sales and business development team to gather and share information needed for planning marketing tasks.
  • Support coordination efforts with external agents for placing advertisements in approved publications or radio channels, as guided by the team.
  • Assist in coordinating with agencies and vendors for the production of marketing materials (e.g., flyers, posters), including helping with content review and following up on designs and print.
  • Help maintain positive relationships with media contacts as directed, to support media-related requirements.
  • Support in distributing marketing materials, maintaining mailing lists, and helping organize and attend marketing-related events and exhibitions.
  • Assist in preparing basic documents, forms, and templates required for marketing activities, following department standards.
  • Provide basic support in reviewing past marketing materials and gathering competitor information to support ongoing marketing projects.
  • Help compile and organize marketing materials, enabling updates and improvements based on inputs from senior team members.
  • Collaborate with team members by coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion of assigned materials and documentation.
  • Assist in preparing simple reports or data summaries to support management with insights for decision-making.

Candidate Qualifications, Experiences & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline / bachelor’s in advertising, or communications- preferred.
  • Min 2-4 years’ experience in a corporate environment, managing agencies and developing marketing communication activities.
  • Proficient in preparing and standardizing marketing documents, forms, and templates.
  • Ability to coordinate with external agents for placing advertisements in various media (print, radio, etc.).
  • Strong media relations skills for building and maintaining relationships to meet media requirements.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills to work with internal teams and ensure timely project completion.
  • Ability to compile, organize, and manage marketing materials, track revisions, and contribute to continuous improvement processes.
  • Proficient in managing the distribution of marketing materials and maintaining up-to-date database.
  • Skilled in organizing and attending events, exhibitions, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Computer ability in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database software.
