Job Responsibilities:
- Development of equipment specification, datasheet, schematic, material requisition
- Evaluate suppliers technical proposal, align proposals to project requirements and prepare technical bid evaluation
- Supplier's engineering follow?up post Contract Award through product design, manufacturing, testing and offshore installation
- Technical focal point for management of all technical communication with supplier, coordination of documents review, action tracking and closure of TQs, VORs and NCRs
- External interface with Client and Vendors
- Internal interface with engineering departments (e.g. pipeline, materials, subsea and offshore structures, electrical, telecom, piping, flow assurance, installation), supply chain, quality/HSE and project management
- Preparation of cost, time, resources estimation
- Act as discipline lead if required to handle subsea cables and umbilicals packages on multiple projects with direct responsibility of resources management
- Training and mentoring of younger resources
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant Engineering Degree (preferably Electrical or Mechanical)
- 7+ years (engineer) experience in subsea power and communication cables and umbilicals
- Deep knowledge of design, manufacturing and testing of subsea cables and umbilical aspects during various phases of an EPCI project (FEED, bid, detail engineering);
- Knowledge on relevant codes and standards, regulations and best practices for subsea cables and umbilicals
- Track record of EPCI projects execution for Middle East clients (Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy, QatarEnergy LNG, ADNOC)
- Experience with subsea flexible pipes and subsea valves
