Help AG is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Security Engineer (PaloAlto NGFW) to design, implement, and manage advanced security solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network security, endpoint protection, and traffic management, with a proactive approach to cyber threat mitigation.

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will work with cutting-edge technologies across various security domains, including Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), firewall management, VPNs, endpoint security, and traffic optimization systems. Your responsibilities include safeguarding infrastructure and ensuring optimal security system performance to protect against emerging threats.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for in-scope technologies for Help AG customers.
• Design, deploy, operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot complex IP networks and interconnected security technologies.
• Respond promptly to incidents, outages, and performance alerts.
• Handle escalated incidents effectively.
• Collaborate with support teams for problem resolution.
• Support operational needs to ensure minimal downtime for critical services.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of complex IP networks.
• 8+ years of experience in network/security engineering roles.
• Solid understanding of security technologies, data center traffic, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with security controls such as:

• Next-Generation Firewalls (PaloAlto)
• Firewall Management & Log Analyzers (Panorama)
• DDI (Infoblox)
• F5 (LTM, GTM, ASM, APM)
• VPN Technologies (Pulse Secure)
• Endpoint Security (Trend Micro Deep Security)
• IXIA Packet Broker & Bypass Switches

• Experience in high-pressure, customer-facing environments.
• Network Operations/Security Operations experience.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet SLAs.
• Understanding of common services, vulnerabilities, and attack patterns.
• Self-motivated with a professional attitude.
• Excellent customer-facing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and decisive.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical writing.
