Job description

Accountant – Building Supplies Industry

Location: Sharjah, UAE Full-Time | On-Site

One of our trusted clients at TLB HR Outsource is looking to hire an Accountant to join their finance team in a fast-paced, medium-sized organization. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in UAE VAT compliance, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and strong general ledger accounting skills. Experience with Sage 300 is highly desirable.

This role requires high attention to detail, excellent time management, and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and posting of journal entries to the general ledger (accruals, prepayments, depreciation, payroll, intercompany, etc.)
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close procedures
  • Assist with the balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all reconciling items are resolved in a timely manner
  • Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and intercompany balances
  • Support the accounts payable and receivable functions by reviewing transactions and ensuring accurate coding and posting
  • Liaise with external auditors and provide required documentation during audit processes
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes, systems, and internal controls
  • Support the Finance Manager and wider team with ad hoc tasks, reporting, and projects

Requirements:

  • 4 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within UAE. Proficiency in accounting software (Sage300 strongly preferred) and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team Prior experience in general ledger accounting
