JOB PURPOSE:
Ensure that all real estate investments are commercially viable, meet the specified financial parameters, and that all commercial contracts with counterparties adhere to prescribed standards to protect AMLAK's commercial interests.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Lead the development of the department's short and long-term strategy, communicate it to all stakeholders, ensure its timely and effective implementation, monitor results, and take corrective actions as needed.
- Set department goals and objectives, cascade them to all employees, and ensure their achievement.
- Develop and implement the department's business plan and budget in alignment with AMLAK's overall budget, ensuring compliance.
- Establish and enforce department policies, procedures, and processes.
- Recruit, develop, motivate, and engage department staff to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
- Coordinate with the Enterprise Risk Management Unit to establish a framework for identifying, monitoring, and mitigating risks related to real estate investments.
- Lead the development of commercial and financial parameters to measure investment success, sharing these with the Investment and Engineering Teams.
- Create and analyze financial models for investments to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Regularly monitor investments to ensure they are commercially viable and meet financial targets.
- Evaluate investment parameters and conduct due diligence to ensure investments are within acceptable risk and return profiles.
- Implement value creation strategies aligned with target returns.
- Review commercial contracts to ensure they meet AMLAK's specifications and participate in negotiations with counterparties.
- Assist the Investment and Engineering Teams with high-level costing of in-house development projects.
- Prepare and submit reports to management on the status of investment portfolios and returns.
- Stay updated on industry developments and adopt best practices in AMLAK.
- Perform any other responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or management.
- A Master's degree is advantageous.
Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in real estate development, portfolio management, or advisory sectors, including 3 years in the UAE.
- Proven success in managing real estate investment portfolios.
