Senior HSE Engineer

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for a talented Senior HSE Engineer to join our team! With Parsons’ extensive experience and your emerging knowledge of safety policies and procedures, your career can advance with top performance opportunities.

We need our Senior HSE Engineer to be versatile, experienced in leading teams, and possess exceptional communication, analytical, and management skills. Under the general direction of the Safety Manager, you will ensure that the safety plan reflects corporate policy and complies with the safety requirements of Abu Dhabi.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Assist PMC HSE Manager in executing SH&E functions across multiple infrastructure and building projects.
2. Advise and assist the senior construction site representative in establishing and managing ESHARP Management and Parsons SH&E processes, identifying and controlling hazards.
3. Develop site-specific work plans, SH&E compliance programs, training, and orientation plans conforming to regulations, Parsons’ ESHARP system, and client requirements.
4. Collaborate with SH&E and project managers to evaluate contractors’ SH&E performance, planning, and culture.
5. Audit projects and worksites against standards; detect and correct hazards; submit audit reports.
6. Implement Parsons’ injury and incident reporting processes.
7. Conduct incident investigations and root cause analyses.
8. Analyze trends from audits and reports; create analysis reports.
9. Represent the program SH&E manager on worksites.
10. Supervise emergency response and first aid teams.
11. Prepare and review audit reports and OSH statistics.
12. Represent management during safety inspections by authorities.
13. Oversee safety orientation and training for new hires.
14. Review risk assessments and assist in safety planning.
15. Perform other related responsibilities.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• B.Sc/MSc in Engineering or relevant field from an accredited university.
• Recognized OSH certifications (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 4/5).
• ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor certification.
• Extensive knowledge of UAE and Abu Dhabi safety regulations, including ADOSH-SF.
• Minimum 12+ years in construction safety management in the Middle East, with at least 5 years as OSH Engineer/Manager.
• At least 5 years of consultancy experience.
• OSH management experience in building and infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to supervise and manage teams.
• Valid UAE Driver’s license.
• Availability for in-person interviews locally.
