Job description

An AI Driven FinTech is looking for a Junior-Mid level Accountant to join their team in Abu Dhabi!

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, banks, and accounting firms as needed.
  • Assist in financial modeling, expense tracking, and cost control.
  • Help implement internal financial controls and processes as the company scales.

Office & Operations Management

  • Support day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations.
  • Oversee vendor relationships (office supplies, service providers, etc.).
  • Manage document filing systems (physical and digital), contracts, and general correspondence.
  • Help set up HR admin systems (employee records, leave tracking, etc.).

Compliance & Onboarding

  • Support KYC/AML onboarding processes for clients and partners.
  • Maintain internal compliance checklists and liaise with legal and regulatory advisors when needed.
  • Assist in documentation and policy management related to company regulatory requirements.

Ad Hoc & Special Projects

  • Support founders with presentations, investor materials, or research projects.
  • Contribute to company initiatives such as marketing campaigns, events, or content development.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and help shape internal culture and workflows.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  • Experience in a startup, fintech, or multi-functional role is a plus.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets and accounting software knowledge (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).
  • Organized, proactive, and able to wear multiple hats comfortably.
  • Discreet, reliable, and professional, with strong ethics and a can-do attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written.
