We're looking for a world-class Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead the build-out of a lean, high-performance trading fund from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of strategy, team, and technology, with complete autonomy and no external capital constraints. The CIO will design, execute, and oversee profitable trading strategies while leading a skilled team and ensuring efficient operations.

About the Role :

We're seeking a talented Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to establish and lead a high-performance trading fund. This role offers full ownership of strategy, team, and technology, with significant autonomy and no external capital limits. The CIO will develop and implement profitable trading strategies, lead a team, and oversee operational efficiency.

Responsibilities :

1. Design and execute profitable trading strategies across quant, stat-arb, crypto, equities, and macro markets.
2. Define and evolve the fund's investment philosophy—whether quantitative, discretionary, or arbitrage-based.
3. Develop and refine models, algorithms, and systems for backtesting, live trading, and real-time reporting.
4. Build and lead a team of traders, quantitative developers, and analysts; recruit, mentor, and manage talent.
5. Oversee daily trading operations, including PnL management and decision-making.
6. Implement comprehensive risk management frameworks, including exposure limits, stop-losses, and real-time monitoring.
7. Manage relationships with brokers, exchanges, trading platforms, and API providers to optimize infrastructure.
8. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure regulatory adherence.
9. Lead initiatives to scale the fund, diversify strategies, and raise external capital.

What You'll Need :

1. Proven profitable trading experience, both independently and within institutions.
2. Deep expertise in quantitative research, strategy development, and risk management.
3. Strong coding skills in Python, R, or C++, with familiarity in backtesting frameworks.
4. Experience in hiring and mentoring trading or research teams.
5. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build from zero and iterate quickly.
6. Optional: Background in crypto markets, HFT, or derivatives.

Minimum Requirements :

1. 10+ years in investment management or trading, including at least 5 years in leadership roles at top-tier firms.
2. Expertise in quantitative trading, risk management, and performance tracking.
3. Strong technical skills in Python, R, or C++.
4. Ability to build and scale a high-performance team and infrastructure.
