Job Description

Purpose of the Role: To lead, manage, and optimize the production and maintenance operations of the Pallet Block Plant under Union Wood Works, ensuring high efficiency, product quality, regulatory compliance, and continual improvement of systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all production and maintenance operations to achieve plant targets.
2. Coordinate with the UPM Works Manager for integrated plant operations.
3. Plan and implement process improvements, cost optimization, and preventive maintenance.
4. Ensure compliance with EHS standards, quality systems, and operational SOPs.
5. Collaborate with the Sales team on customer feedback and satisfaction.
6. Drive continuous improvement projects and technological upgrades.
7. Manage workforce productivity, performance reviews, and training programs.
8. Analyze plant data (costs, downtime, productivity) and report to senior management.
9. Maintain optimal inventory of chemicals, materials, and consumables.
10. Liaise with government and environmental authorities for statutory compliance.
