Job description

Lead Transition: Oversee the migration from MT to MX messaging formats, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to payment operations.

Architecture Design:

Develop and implement robust payment architecture strategies that support the new MX messaging standards.

System Integration:

Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate MX messaging into existing systems, ensuring compatibility and efficiency. Responsible, along with the development team and vendors, for identifying design and development tools for effective integration development tasks.

Compliance and Standards:

Ensure all payment systems comply with SWIFT standards and regulatory requirements.

Technical Role:

Provide technical guidance to development teams, ensuring best practices in payment processing and messaging. Responsible for technical vendor evaluation and RFPs.

Performance Optimization:

Optimize payment processing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Documentation and Training:

Create comprehensive documentation and provide training to stakeholders on the new MX messaging standards and processes.

Stakeholder Management:

Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate progress, challenges, and solutions related to the transition. Demonstrate the ability to go the extra mile to ensure project success.

Competencies:

• Transition of MT to MX, Agile, Cloud, DevOps, Presentation Skills
• Hands-on knowledge of latest payment technologies, architecture frameworks, and integration platforms
• Experience in a business-facing role with presentation skills and the ability to communicate with senior management
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with troubleshooting capabilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Knowledge of defining API specifications for REST or Web Services
• Knowledge of API & interface governance, design standards, and principles
• Knowledge of Cloud deployments (AWS, Azure); professional certifications are an advantage
• Understanding hardware sizing and defining scalable, high-availability application architectures
• Banking domain knowledge, understanding current opportunities and challenges in the financial services industry
