Job description

The role holder will be responsible for implementing appropriate systems, drafting standard operating procedures, and setting up the office as a top-tier asset management entity. The role involves overseeing asset management operations with a focus on long-term value creation, profitability, operational efficiency, and cost minimization.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities:

Strategic

  • Plan and direct the asset management office's activities to meet operational performance targets and standards.
  • Develop the annual business plan in collaboration with the leadership team, driving profitability and performance aligned with organizational goals.
  • Implement global systems and processes to enhance office efficiency.
  • Drive sales growth through marketing, PR activities, and new offerings based on international experience, focusing on client retention and portfolio growth.
  • Identify and control key drivers of cost, quality, risks, revenues, profits, and performance.

Operational

  • Implement best practices and draft SOPs for asset management operations.
  • Create efficiencies and optimize work allocation within the business.
  • Support the deployment of global systems and processes to increase operational efficiency.
  • Ensure financial and operational priorities are met within set targets and budgets.
  • Establish standardized, transparent, and repeatable processes to ensure consistent, quality products and services.
  • Manage client onboarding and offboarding smoothly, ensuring effective communication across functions.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and audit requirements.

Profitability, Performance, and Growth

  • Measure client deliverables and service value accurately, managing pricing, invoicing, and collections effectively.
  • Monitor client activities to achieve revenue and service targets.
  • Implement measures to ensure quality and timeliness in client activities.
  • Build and maintain strategic client relationships, guiding the team to ensure timely and quality delivery.

Candidate Profile:

  • Over 18 years of experience in wealth structuring, institutional sales, fund industry, asset management, or related fields, with exposure to VCC and fund management/administration.
  • Proven track record in growing business rapidly and generating income, especially with institutional clients and UHNWI.
  • Proactive, initiative-taking, dedicated, and target-driven.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, with strong communication abilities tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills, with a focus on accountability and results.
