The role holder will be responsible for implementing appropriate systems, drafting standard operating procedures, and setting up the office as a top-tier asset management entity. The role involves overseeing asset management operations with a focus on long-term value creation, profitability, operational efficiency, and cost minimization.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities:
Strategic
- Plan and direct the asset management office's activities to meet operational performance targets and standards.
- Develop the annual business plan in collaboration with the leadership team, driving profitability and performance aligned with organizational goals.
- Implement global systems and processes to enhance office efficiency.
- Drive sales growth through marketing, PR activities, and new offerings based on international experience, focusing on client retention and portfolio growth.
- Identify and control key drivers of cost, quality, risks, revenues, profits, and performance.
Operational
- Implement best practices and draft SOPs for asset management operations.
- Create efficiencies and optimize work allocation within the business.
- Support the deployment of global systems and processes to increase operational efficiency.
- Ensure financial and operational priorities are met within set targets and budgets.
- Establish standardized, transparent, and repeatable processes to ensure consistent, quality products and services.
- Manage client onboarding and offboarding smoothly, ensuring effective communication across functions.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and audit requirements.
Profitability, Performance, and Growth
- Measure client deliverables and service value accurately, managing pricing, invoicing, and collections effectively.
- Monitor client activities to achieve revenue and service targets.
- Implement measures to ensure quality and timeliness in client activities.
- Build and maintain strategic client relationships, guiding the team to ensure timely and quality delivery.
Candidate Profile:
- Over 18 years of experience in wealth structuring, institutional sales, fund industry, asset management, or related fields, with exposure to VCC and fund management/administration.
- Proven track record in growing business rapidly and generating income, especially with institutional clients and UHNWI.
- Proactive, initiative-taking, dedicated, and target-driven.
- Excellent client-facing skills, with strong communication abilities tailored to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills, with a focus on accountability and results.
