Job Description

Wood is recruiting for a Senior Instrument and Control Engineer to join its UAE Business Unit, focusing on assisting procurement and project engineering personnel in the procurement of equipment and materials for a Major Onshore Brownfield Project in Sharjah, UAE, on a 5/2 work schedule.

This is a full-time, office-based role in Sharjah, UAE, with travel requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Designing innovative solutions and advancing engineering standards.
  • Supporting procurement and project teams in equipment and materials procurement.
  • Participating in project planning, execution, and review processes.
  • Providing technical expertise in instrument and control engineering.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.

  • Assisting in procurement and engineering coordination.
Qualifications
What makes you remarkable?

We welcome candidates with some of the following qualifications and experience:

  • Engineering degree.
  • At least 10 years of relevant oil & gas industry experience, especially in onshore brownfield projects.
  • Deep knowledge of instrument engineering design.
  • Familiarity with international codes and standards.
  • Experience with field instruments, valves, and vendor management.
  • Experience with ICSS systems, preferably Emerson Delta V.
  • Experience in brownfield, FEED, and EPC projects.
  • Knowledge of HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL processes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as SPI, Flow Meter, Control Valve Sizing Software, and MS Office.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
