Main Responsibilities
General
- Provide contractual advice and guidance to various stakeholders within CLIENT
- Ensure compliance with contract management and administration procedures in line with IMS requirements
- Identify ways to improve contract management processes within CLIENT and implement agreed improvements to maximize value, gain efficiencies, and minimize risk
- Participate in internal/external audits as required
- Conduct training sessions or Lunch & Learn events to improve Project management teams' understanding of contractual aspects
- Promote safety leadership behaviors
- Champion contractual risk assessment and management
- Deputise for Contracts Department Manager when required
Pre-Award Phase
- Support Business Development by reviewing Clients' terms and conditions and providing comments
- Recommend suitable terms for CLIENT's proposals
- Conduct negotiations on terms and conditions with Clients
- Review LOAs and contract documents from Clients
- Review NDAs, MOUs, and JV Agreements
Post-Award Phase
- Guide CLIENT disciplines and external clients on contractual and legal matters
- Monitor and manage contractual and legal requirements
- Ensure Project teams are aware of contractual obligations
- Participate in contractual meetings with Clients and subcontractors
- Identify potential claims early and propose mitigation strategies
- Evaluate claims and negotiate settlements
- Review and prepare Variations and Variation Requests
- Assist in negotiating subcontract terms and evaluating Variation Requests
Competency Requirements and Personal Attributes
- Experience in contract negotiations, dispute resolution, and claims management
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Experience in drafting contractual provisions and amendments
- Excellent letter writing skills
- Solutions-oriented, collaborative approach
- Attention to non-contractual details
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Deep understanding of contract types and terms
- Knowledge of FIDIC contracts
- Middle East experience is advantageous

Qualifications
Experience Technical
Minimum 12 years of contract experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
Education
- Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Law, Supply Chain, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent
- Professional certification or relevant experience in Contracts Management
Linguistic Skills
Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
