Job description

Job Overview:

The Finance Analyst will play a key role in supporting the FP&A function. Reporting directly to the FP&A Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, monitoring performance against budgets and forecasts, and assisting with creating presentations with insights for decision-makers within the company.

The Finance Analyst will contribute to financial modeling and cost analysis, making data-driven recommendations to help the company achieve its financial goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, working closely with department heads for accurate and timely financial data submission.
  • Prepare regular performance analysis reports for business units.
  • Report monthly on Overheads Actual vs. Budget vs. Forecast for respective budget holders.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial planning and analysis activities.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support various business initiatives as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; master's degree or professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or similar roles within a corporate or large business environment.
  • Experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for presenting financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Desirables:
  • Experience working within the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of budgeting software and financial reporting systems.
  • Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Excel for building complex models and data analysis.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools for creating dashboards and reports.
