Job summary

A leading company in the Oil & Gas industry is seeking a Main Contracts Supervisor to oversee major contracts for a long-term ADNOC project. The role involves contract administration, compliance, risk management, and stakeholder coordination to ensure all contractual obligations are met. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in contract administration, preferably in the UAE. Strong negotiation and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

Job description

Job Purpose:

The Main Contracts Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the administration, compliance, and execution of major contracts (EPC, Construction, Services, etc.) for a long-term ADNOC project. This role ensures that all contractual obligations are met, risks are mitigated, and stakeholders (ADNOC, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams) adhere to agreed terms.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Contract Administration & Compliance
  • Manage the full lifecycle of main contracts (review, execution, amendments, and closeout).
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC and UAE contractual regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor contractor/subcontractor performance against contractual obligations (KPIs, milestones, deliverables).
  • Maintain accurate contract documentation, including change orders, claims, and correspondence.
  • Risk & Claims Management
    • Identify and mitigate contractual risks, disputes, and non-compliance issues.
    • Evaluate and process contractor claims, variations, and delay notices in line with contract terms.
    • Work with legal and project teams to resolve disputes (negotiations, mediation, or arbitration if needed).
  • Stakeholder Coordination
    • Act as the primary point of contact between ADNOC, contractors, and internal project teams.
    • Facilitate contract review meetings, progress reviews, and compliance audits.
    • Liaise with Procurement, Legal, Finance, and Project Controls teams to align contract terms with execution.
  • Reporting & Documentation
    • Prepare regular reports on contract status, deviations, and financial impacts.
    • Ensure all contractual records are up-to-date and audit-ready.
    • Support internal and ADNOC audits related to contract compliance.
    Qualifications & Experience:
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
    • Experience: Minimum 7+ years in contract administration, preferably in UAE/Oil & Gas (ADNOC projects experience is a plus).
    • Certifications: Familiarity with FIDIC contracts, ADNOC procurement standards, or PMP/Contracts Management certifications is advantageous.
    Skills:
    • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in contract management software (SAP, Ariba, etc.).
    • Knowledge of UAE/ADNOC contractual laws and regulations.
    • Excellent communication skills (English; Arabic is a plus).
