A leading facilities management company in Dubai is seeking a Housekeeping Senior Supervisor to oversee the housekeeping team, ensuring compliance with cleaning standards and efficient resource management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in housekeeping and strong leadership skills. Responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining cleanliness standards, and managing supplies. This role requires a diploma in hospitality management and a BICs certification.
The Housekeeping Senior Supervisor is BICs Qualified and responsible to liaise with the Contract Manager daily regarding current tasks and assist in the planning of future tasks. Ensure all assigned duties are carried out, and that resources are efficiently utilized. Ensure that the policies and procedures are adhered to by staff/cleaning attendants. Act as a communication conduit between management and staff. Maintain and control use of stock, equipment & consumables. Responsible to make sure that cleaners under his/her supervision carry out their functions effectively and promptly.
Responsibilities:
As Housekeeping Senior Supervisor, you will be responsible for the delivery of the following personal duties & responsibilities:
• Responsible to ensure that all housekeeping employees are complying to BICs cleaning standards.
• Liaise with the Contract Manager and Housekeeping Supervisor regarding the day-to-day tasks of the housekeeping team which include appropriate cleaning of all areas including washrooms and public spaces.
• Planning, organizing and directing Housekeeping Supervisors and Housekeeping Attendants to ensure all assigned duties are carried out, and that resources are efficiently utilized while meeting the highest degree of guest satisfaction.
• Review the shifts schedule with Housekeeping Supervisors and ensure that the accurate number of employees are deployed in each location.
• Supervision of all housekeeping team, including the day, event and post-event crews.
• Ensure that the sanitation policies and all other procedures are adhered to by staff/cleaning attendants.
• Inspect all the rooms, offices, toilets and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness.
• Follow-up on the action of the daily observation report from the clients and ensure that complaints and special request from customers are attended on timely manners.
• Train and educate all housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks including hygiene standards.
• Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job.
• Provide feedback to employees to improve performance.
• Monitor the purchase of housekeeping supplies, control the use of stocks and consumables.
• Maintain the housekeeping budget, providing billing summaries and expenses for all pre and post events.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.
• Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards within housekeeping department.
• Act as a communication conduit between management and staff.
• Ensures the proper maintenance of all equipment; makes arrangements for repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment.
• Any other responsibilities as and when required
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field required.
2. Experience:
•A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in all aspects of Housekeeping in a large, multi-use facility required, with at least 3 years of senior supervisory experience.
• Certified BICs holder with strong communications literacy and numeracy skills required for this role.
• Requires in-depth knowledge of Cleaning Methods & Working Practices, and Health & Safety
requirements.
• Knowledgeable and experience with all standard requirement cleaning machines.
• Management of Cleaning, Waste management, Landscaping, Pest Control, and associated services.
• Experience in retail, commercial and industrial properties
• Good knowledge of auditing systems.
