Manage the ADNOC Aviation refuelling activities (Into-plane operations) and Non refuelling activities (Depot & Hydrant Operations) along with marketing & business development at all civil airports / air strips within Abu Dhabi region and Island Airport in compliance with company procedures, local & International laws, and customer specifications.
Business Management
- Responsible for preparing quotations for additional aviation services. Ensure proper delivery, customer invoicing, and receipt of payments.
- Maintain a valid credit & carnet customer list for the airport depot officer.
- Ensure services are provided only to permitted customers as confirmed by the aviation sales team.
- Ensure monthly posted airport prices are available at all airports for cash sales.
- Collect cash from non-credit customers promptly and deposit in the bank; report to Finance. Also, manage cheque collections from credit customers for the Aviation Sales Division.
- Participate in business development and promotional activities.
Into-Plane Operations
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of into-plane services like aircraft refuelling & defueling as per IATA Service Level Agreement and company procedures, safeguarding assets.
- Ensure aviation fuels meet latest specifications: Jet A-1 (AFQRJOS Checklist, Def Stan 91-91, ASTM D 1655), AvgAS 100LL (ASTM D-910, Def Stan 91-90).
- Maintain a valid refuelling liability insurance certificate of at least One Billion US Dollars.
- Estimate sales at all airports within the area of responsibility.
- Allocate resources and personnel effectively, including duty rosters.
- Ensure timely renewal of vehicle registrations and passes.
- Maintain smooth communication with ADNOC Distribution and Airport Authorities.
- Ensure refuelling services comply with aircraft types and hydrant/off-hydrant types.
- Maintain IATA recommended stock levels (minimum 3 days’ stock) at airports and coordinate fuel availability with refineries.
- Ensure timely closure of stock & financial systems.
- Insure all assets adequately.
- Preserve aviation fuel integrity from receipt to aircraft delivery.
- Ensure depot & hydrant operations comply with JIG requirements.
Quality, Safety, Business, Risk & Compliance Control
- Perform timely quality checks within permitted deviations.
- Ensure compliance with procedures, JIG frequencies, and IATA standards; document variances.
- Maintain QMS documents per legal and company standards.
- Participate in incident investigations and audits.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement recommendations.
- Participate in business continuity and impact analyses.
- Conduct airport emergency response exercises.
- Assess on-field operations for safety, reliability, and efficiency.
- Coordinate with Aviation Maintenance for scheduled activities.
- Oversee civil aviation operations, including staffing, facilities, and equipment management.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly.
- Ensure valid PTW signatories and conduct staff performance reviews bi-annually.
- Manage refuelling and non-refuelling assets to meet quality standards.
- Control incidental operational costs.
- Comply with AVOD Authorities and Responsibilities Manual.
Projects, Expansion, and Upgrades
- Lead upgrades and development of fuel depot infrastructure, coordinating with maintenance and other departments.
- Participate in operational/technical projects, ensuring timely completion.
Customer Relations and Complaint Management
- Maintain good relations with customers and airport authorities.
- Document and resolve complaints satisfactorily.
- Ensure contractual obligations are met and recommend corrective actions for incidents or losses.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or commerce.
- Minimum 12 years of experience managing aviation fuel facilities and operations, including 6 years in managerial roles.
