GluCare Integrated Diabetes Center is looking for a highly motivated UAE National graduate to join our team as a Project Coordinator focused on brownfield healthcare builds. This role is ideally suited for an Emirati with a biomedical or biotech engineering background, who will be trained and mentored to develop deep project management and technical skills in healthcare infrastructure development.

You will be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of refurbishment, expansion, and fit-out projects across our healthcare facilities, with a focus on the coordination of medical equipment procurement, contractor and vendor management, and collaboration with internal stakeholders. This is an opportunity to grow into a key leadership role in healthcare project delivery in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination & Execution:

  • Support brownfield healthcare facility expansion and renovation projects from design through to handover.
  • Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, contractors, and vendors to align project work with clinical and operational requirements.
  • Track project schedules, budgets, and milestones, reporting any risks or delays proactively.

Equipment Procurement & Management:

  • Assist in the procurement, logistics, and installation of medical and non-medical equipment.
  • Liaise with equipment suppliers and ensure equipment meets clinical specifications and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain an inventory and handover checklist for all installed equipment during project close-out.
  • Serve as the point of contact for vendors, suppliers, architects, and contractors.
  • Communicate project updates and needs between internal departments such as Clinical, IT, Facilities, and Finance.
  • Help ensure all work complies with DHA, Civil Defense, MOHRE, and other regulatory requirements.

Site Supervision & Quality Control:

  • Participate in regular site visits to monitor progress, workmanship, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Escalate technical issues or design conflicts as needed and support resolution with guidance from senior team members.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain organized records of contracts, equipment specs, correspondence, and project changes.
  • Prepare progress updates and present them to senior leadership during review meetings.

Understand, follow and support all hospital infection control programs

Training & Development:

  • Receive mentorship from experienced project managers, engineers, and clinical operations staff.
  • Gain exposure to healthcare facility standards, equipment planning, and UAE regulatory frameworks.
  • Develop skills in vendor management, architectural and engineering review, and facility planning.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biotech Engineering, Healthcare Technology, or related field.
  • Strong interest in healthcare infrastructure and project delivery.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with project tracking tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
  • A commitment to continuous learning and development in healthcare project management.

Preferred (but not required):

  • Internship or academic project experience in facility design, medical equipment, or healthcare operations.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations (DHA, MOH) is a plus but will be taught on the job.
