Job description

Convelox is seeking a Principal Consultant with Oracle Finance Cloud experience. The role will be that of a Solution Architect for Cloud Finance, focused on designing and implementing technology solutions in ERP Cloud. The primary responsibility will be to interface with key stakeholders to gather accounting requirements, play a Solution Architect role, liaise with offshore teams and clients, enabling our clients to meet their evolving needs during implementation. The selected candidate should be able to drive collaboration with business, technology, and vendor teams to determine functional and non-functional requirements, assess technical impacts, and develop solutions. They will run the implementation program and act as a bridge between the client and the team. Interaction with customer process owners and SMEs to understand and analyze various processes is essential. The candidate should assess the overall status of each module within Oracle Cloud ERP and be capable of working in an on-shore/off-shore model, managing delivery and driving automation opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the definition and management of the ERP technology roadmap strategy and execution, including tech standards & policies.
  2. Recommending roadmaps to close performance gaps and developing high-level implementation plans.
  3. Providing status and issue reports to the project manager/client regularly.
  4. Identifying business requirements and mapping them to Oracle Cloud functionality; identifying functionality gaps and developing solutions.
  5. Understanding current client processes and developing future state recommendations.
  6. Advising clients on options, risks, and impacts on other processes or systems.
  7. Configuring Oracle Cloud Applications to meet client requirements as needed.
  8. Creating functional process/solution documents describing business processes and user needs.
  9. Leading and conducting CRP, SIT, Training, and UAT along with the onsite team.
  10. Reviewing and developing end-user documentation and training materials.
  11. Delivering end-user training.
  12. Driving project deliverables through effective communication.
  13. Participating in pre-sales cycles by providing subject matter expertise, estimating work, and developing sales proposals and SOWs (for permanent positions).
  14. Driving organization-wide F&A process optimization.
  15. Evaluating existing and emerging technologies to augment a digitally mature organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution; three years of progressive experience in the field may substitute for each year of education.
  • At least 11 years of relevant IT experience.
  • Expertise in Oracle implementations with at least 6+ years as a lead/solution architect, especially in Oracle Cloud Financials, including end-to-end implementation experience in AP, AR, FA, GL, CM, and Taxes.
  • Knowledge of cross-track cloud offerings like EPM Cloud, SCM, and Procurement Cloud.

Experience in Business Process Transformation is essential—changing existing processes to leverage improvements offered by new ERP systems.

  • Understanding of finance tracks and their interdependencies.
  • Willingness to travel as needed; travel to client locations is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Costing and Cross-track Supply Chain touchpoints.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and coordination skills.
  • Experience supporting Oracle Cloud projects, including incident and problem management, patch analysis, root cause analysis, automation, and handling high-severity issues within SLA.
  • Experience coordinating with business and other teams on issues, enhancements, and projects.
  • Experience working with offshore teams to support clients seamlessly.
  • Ability to coordinate with business users, inter-track teams, and client leadership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of business.
  • Experience working in a globally distributed, onsite-offshore team environment.
