Job summary

A leading company in the Oil & Gas sector is seeking a Consortium Quality & Compliance Director to oversee quality management for EPCI projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality management roles, a Master's degree, and a proven track record in implementing ISO standards. This role involves strategic oversight, resource planning, and ensuring compliance with project quality objectives.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years experience in EPCI Mega Projects Quality management roles in Oil & Gas, Power, Renewable Energy.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 implementation on mega-projects.
  • Proven ability to organize and execute Quality Management tasks on major projects.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the EPCI Project QMS aligned with the Company QMS.
  • Serve as the single point accountability for the Consortium Function for delivering the EPCI Project Quality requirements.
  • Establish and implement the Consortium Project Quality Audit Program.

Job description

Consortium Quality & Compliance Director

Synergize with the Company Quality Management Division Departments, Consortium Partners, and Sub-contractors to coordinate efficient resource planning, availability, and allocations to achieve the Project Quality Objectives.

Assist in the development and management of the assigned EPCI Project Consortium Quality Function Budget and contribute to the overall EPC Quality & Compliance Function Budget.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Quality Management;
  2. Develop, implement, and maintain the EPCI Project QMS aligned with the Company QMS and Project Quality Requirements as defined in the Client Quality Specifications;
  3. Develop and implement the EPCI Project Quality Management Plan (QMP), Permitting Plan, Verification & Validation Plan, Certification Plan, Project Quality Plan (PQP), and relevant Quality Procedures in line with Company QMS procedures and project specifications, codes, and standards;
  4. Serve as the single point accountability for the Consortium Function for delivering the EPCI Project Quality requirements, deliverables, Certification Program, Verification & Validation Program, and Quality;
  5. Represent the EPCI Consortium Quality & Compliance Function to clients, external bodies, and advise internal and external stakeholders on all Quality & Compliance matters;
  6. Assist the EPCI Project Leadership Team in developing, managing, and monitoring Quality performance, maintaining robust Quality statistics based on the QMS, analysis, reporting, and implementation;
  7. Establish, measure, and ensure achievement of all project KPIs, including weekly/monthly reporting on status, trends, corrective actions, and improvements;
  8. Plan and implement the Quality Control process through development of Project Quality Inspection and Test Plans;
  9. Resource and manage the Consortium Quality Management function to meet Project Quality Goals and Objectives;
  10. Plan, organize, coordinate, and control day-to-day operations of the Consortium Quality Function;
  11. Establish and implement the Consortium Project Quality Audit Program and Readiness Review Program;
  12. Implement a robust Consortium Project NCR process;
  13. Identify and mitigate key Quality issues from customer satisfaction surveys, lessons learned, non-conformances, and risk management processes;
  14. Complete the Project post-implementation review to verify successful delivery and facilitate experience transfer;
  15. Motivate the Quality team and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, adopting international best practices;
  16. Manage activities of EPC Consortium Quality personnel to ensure QMS implementation and achievement of Quality objectives;
  17. Identify opportunities for system, process, and practice improvements to enhance customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and increase productivity.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Master's Degree in a relevant field or Engineering/Quality discipline;
  • Accredited Certificate in Quality Management;
  • Lead Auditor QMS ISO 9001:2015 certificate;
  • 15+ years experience in EPCI Mega Projects Quality management roles in Oil & Gas, Power, Renewable Energy;
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 implementation on mega-projects;
  • Ability to provide strategic quality direction to project management teams;
  • Technical acumen with decision-making and problem-solving skills;
  • Proven ability to organize and execute Quality Management tasks on major projects;
  • Experience with change management processes and risk mitigation;
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages advantageous;
  • Team-oriented, with strong planning, organization, and leadership skills;

  • High work ethics and ability to communicate confidently with senior management;
