About POWERTECH
POWERTECH is a center of excellence for propulsion technologies, specializing in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of combustion engines, expendable turbojet engines, and turbofan engines for a wide range of aerospace, defence, and autonomous applications, including fixed- and rotary-wing UAVs and other advanced platforms.
Job Purpose
Manages fuel, oil, and hydraulic fluid levels on engines to ensure smooth operation during testing.
Key Accountabilities
Engine Fluid monitoring
• Responsible for filling and maintaining correct levels of fuel, oil, and hydraulic fluids in the engine.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on auxiliary systems to support the engine during testing.
Troubleshooting
• Able to troubleshoot fuel, oil and hydraulic issues
• Able to safely check fuel, oil and hydraulic fittings and connections
• Ensures compliance with measurement standards and data integrity.
Coordination with other teams:
• Will work with the Installation and Instrumentation technicians
Compliance and Documentation:
• Will maintain accurate records of work carried out and fluids added and used by the engine for each test
Safety
• Awareness and adherence to company and test facility safety policies, operating procedures and emergency plans.
• Ensure correct PPE is available, well-maintained and effective for the tasks at hand
Test Facility Manager Communications
• Will regularly liaise with Test Facility Manager to provide updates regarding the status of engine fluids and the flagging of any concerns or special requirements.
Experience / Knowledge/Qualification
At least 5 to 7 years of related experience, preferably, in the aerospace industry, including
• High level of accuracy in fluid measurements and record keeping. Good attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Knowledge of different types of fuels, their handling, storage and delivery mechanisms
• Experience in working with various fluids such as lubricants, coolants and hydraulic fluids
• Experience in diagnosing issues and conducting inspections on fuel and fluid systems
• Experience in performing preventative and corrective on fuel and fluid systems
