About the Role:

This position involves overseeing architectural aspects of large projects, coordinating with various disciplines, and ensuring compliance with design and contractual standards.

Key roles and responsibilities:

• Lead coordination with other disciplines and assist the Resident Engineer with contractual duties on site.
• Process contract documents and support contract administration.
• Develop, modify, and review production drawings and construction documents; update design documents as needed.
• Serve as an architectural resource within the Design department.
• Provide technical resolution within the discipline, ensuring progress on site.
• Advise project managers on technical issues affecting construction quality and progress.
• Monitor interior architectural works for compliance with contract documents and procedures.
• Review and process shop drawings, technical submittals, and RFIs related to interior and architecture.
• Review construction submittals, installation methods, shop drawings, and material proposals for compliance and appropriateness.
• Monitor procurement and delivery schedules to support construction timelines.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
• Lead snagging and desnagging to facilitate project completion.
• Attend progress and technical meetings, prepare and issue site instructions, and advise on variation costs.
• Oversee architectural work, ensure quality control, and collaborate on safety and environmental standards.
• Review design drawings and specifications for accuracy and current revision levels.
• Support junior staff with inspection requests and other responsibilities.

Technical skills and experience required:

• Degree in Architecture or related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years postgraduate experience, with at least 5 years on large projects.
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills on-site.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D Max, Photoshop, MS Project or Primavera, PowerPoint, and MS Office.
• Good knowledge of building codes.
• Authority registration preferred.
• Ability to manage and coordinate a team of moderate size and complexity.
• UAE Driving License.
