Job Overview

We are seeking a high-performing Regional Sales Manager - Sub Saharan Africa with a strong background in the mobile industry to drive sales growth and expand our customer base across targeted regions in Africa. This strategic leadership role involves managing regional sales teams, setting ambitious yet achievable targets, and identifying new business opportunities in the competitive mobile devices and telecom space. The ideal candidate will combine market insight, commercial acumen, and a track record of success within the mobile or consumer electronics sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute region-specific sales strategies in alignment with company objectives and mobile market trends.
  • Lead and oversee regional sales operations, ensuring consistent achievement of sales quotas and KPIs.
  • Analyze sales data and prepare detailed reports on region-wise performance, forecasts, and profitability.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team with a focus on mobile devices, accessories, and services.
  • Monitor and respond to regional market shifts, competitor activity, and emerging trends in the mobile sector.
  • Prepare and manage regional budgets, ensuring cost-effective sales operations.
  • Collaborate with product and marketing teams to adapt offerings for regional needs and customer expectations.
  • Build and nurture relationships with distributors, retail partners, and corporate clients across the African market.
  • Contribute to strategic decisions on market expansion, partnerships, and acquisitions.
  • Recommend new mobile products, services, or sales techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and market share.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior sales role within the mobile industry, such as Regional Sales Manager or Key Account Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of the mobile device ecosystem, including smartphones, accessories, and telecom distribution.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and the ability to track and analyze sales performance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead, inspire, and scale sales teams across multiple countries or regions.
  • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution skills.
  • Willingness to travel across assigned regions as needed.
