Finance Associate, Financial Accounting and Reporting (Base in Beijing)

Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank dedicated to financing infrastructure for a sustainable future in Asia and beyond. Since commencing operations in Beijing in 2016, AIIB has grown to 110 members worldwide, with a capital of USD 100 billion and a AAA credit rating.

The selected candidate will assist in AIIB's financial accounting and reporting, focusing on preparing financial reports and analyzing the Bank's financial performance.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform financial reporting related to AIIB's investment and treasury portfolios, utilizing the SAP system, and assist with periodic financial reports.
  2. Prepare financial analyses of performance indicators and ad hoc measures, focusing on financial products such as loans, guarantees, equity investments, liquidity portfolios, borrowings, and derivatives, comparing these against historical data for management reporting.
  3. Review and process data for financial reporting, and assist in preparing the Bank's financial and management reports, along with ad hoc reports as needed.
  4. Review valuations of financial products, perform financial analyses based on fair valuation results, and review valuation methodologies and fair value fluctuations.
  5. Participate in IT system projects and process improvements related to financial reporting.
  6. Perform other accounting and reporting duties, including general accounting in SAP and ad hoc financial tasks.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in an international bank or large organization, with a background in financial and management reporting preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with knowledge of financial accounting and IFRS standards, along with data analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting and reporting software, and understanding of core banking systems handling loans, bonds, derivatives, and equities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, multitasking ability, and capacity to work under tight schedules.
  • Effective communicator and team player.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in related fields.
