Job description

The Technician in the Technology and Services department is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting technology systems and solutions. This role involves hands-on technical work, customer support, and ensuring optimal system performance. The Technician collaborates closely with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality service and maintain client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Configuration: Install and configure technology systems, including security systems, access control, & its accessories, magnetic locks panels , intercoms, and IP cameras. Set up and test hardware and software components to ensure proper functionality. Integrate systems and ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform regular maintenance on installed systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity. Provide on-site and remote support to address client concerns and system failures.
  • Technical Support: Respond to client inquiries and provide technical assistance promptly. Offer training to clients on the proper use and maintenance of installed systems. Document and communicate solutions for recurring technical issues.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, and system configurations. Prepare reports on system performance and issues resolved. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all technical documentation.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols during installation and maintenance work. Ensure all installations comply with local regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with the project management team to meet project deadlines and objectives. Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to share knowledge and best practices. Provide feedback to improve systems and service delivery.

Experience, Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Diploma/ Degree, in electronics/electrical/ IT engineering , or in any other related technical field. With a prior experience as technician in the security services industry.
  • Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting IP-based systems, including cameras, access control, intercoms & gate barriers
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IP protocols and core networking principles.
  • Exceptional abilities in problem-solving, diagnostics, effective communication, and interpersonal relations.
